VIQU have partnered with a global engineering and manufacturing organisation currently undergoing significant digital transformation. Known for their innovation and market leadership across multiple sectors, the business is seeking a highly experienced Lead Project Manager to join their technology team and drive the establishment of a centre of excellence for project delivery.

This is a newly approved and business-critical role that offers a unique opportunity to lead and mentor a team of Project Managers while building out standardised project delivery practices across the organisation. The successful Lead Project Manager will be responsible for shaping project methodologies, mentoring a team, and ensuring consistency and efficiency across all technology projects, with a primary focus on a flagship global transformation initiative. This role offers a blend of leadership, strategy, and hands-on project oversight, ideal for an experienced PM professional looking to make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities of the Lead Project Manager:

â   •  Line management of a team of Project Managers, including coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and regular 1-2-1s.â   •  Establish and lead a centre of excellence for project delivery, including the definition and rollout of project governance, frameworks, and best practices.â   •  Work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to align project delivery with organisational goals.â   •  Oversee delivery of key projects, including major ERP and business systems transformations.â   •  Promote consistency across the team's ways of working to ensure projects can be handed over seamlessly where required.â   •  Apply both Agile and Waterfall methodologies where appropriate and champion hybrid delivery models.

Experience Required of the Lead Project Manager:

â   •  Proven experience in line management and developing high-performing project delivery teams.â   •  Previous experience delivering complex IT projects including ERP (Dynamics 365 preferred), Infrastructure & SaaSâ   •  Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with a pragmatic approach to delivery.â   •  Track record of building or contributing to a centre of excellence.â   •  Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to gain buy-in from both technical and non-technical audiences.
