C# Engineering Lead / Manager - Quant & Structured Products | Front Office | £180,000 + Bonus + Benefits | London (Hybrid)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a C# Engineering Lead / Manager to join the Front Office Quant Technology team of a global trading firm, focused on Structured Products and Cross-Asset Risk Systems.

The business has seen exceptional growth over the last two years and continues to expand its presence across Structured Notes, Derivatives, and Energy-linked Products. To support this growth, they're strengthening their Quant Engineering function, bringing strategic technology builds in-house to deliver faster, more scalable, and innovative trading solutions.

As the C# Engineering Lead / Manager, you'll lead a high-performing Front Office Development team, working closely with Quants, Traders, and Risk Technology. You'll be responsible for setting the technical direction, architecting key systems, and ensuring the successful delivery of pricing, risk, and analytics platforms that underpin the firm's structured product trading business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and mentor a talented team of Front Office C# Engineers (mix of permanent and contract).
• Define and drive technical standards, best practices, and code quality across the Quant Tech stack.
• Collaborate directly with Quants, Traders, and the Head of Quant Technology to plan and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
• Oversee the modernisation and migration of risk and pricing systems into .NET Core / .NET 8 and cloud-ready environments.
• Remain hands-on where needed — reviewing pull requests, guiding architecture, and contributing to key builds.

• C# / .NET 6–8, React, SQL Server, Azure / AWS
• Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Messaging (Kafka / RabbitMQ)
• CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker
