We have just partnered with one of the most exciting early stage start-ups in the AI creativity space who need an engineer who will come in, be scrappy and move super fast to deliver by challenging status quo and deleting when necessary. They are currently partnered with one of the biggest household names in the world and as such need to expand their team of 15 going into 2026.
They have a team of 5+ engineers in their Founding team from the top companies in the world including Twitter. Most of their backgrounds are from a Founder/Co-Founder, Founding Engineering Team or VC backed background (On Deck, Y Combinator, Antler or Entrepreneur First) and that is what they are looking for in their next hire without looking at years of experience.
This Founding Software Engineer role is for someone who has full stack experience mainly working on Frontend (React/React Native) and Backend (Node/Python) projects. It is for someone who can challenge the status quo and not be worried about putting their opinion across. Someone who can provide the team with strong engineering practices but also contribute to the overall build of the product without worrying about unblocking themselves if needed.
It is the perfect opportunity to join a company that is backed by a CEO with tons of experience in running businesses and leading them to IPO stage, as well as, with the capacity to self-fund this venture.
Tech Stack: React Native, React, Node, Python (AI)
Hybrid/Remote: 3-4 days/week in Central London
Salary & Benefits: Up to £120k + Equity + Holidays
What they are looking for:
Strong experience in start-up/founding positions building and scaling projects but also adjusting to a pivot in business - do not worry if the start-up did not kick off, everyone's welcome!
Confidence in working with React Native on Mobile is a plus with experience on React/Node/Python as a desirable skill (Please note not all backend tech is necessary, but it helps to show expertise in learning new tech stacks).
Ideally someone with experience from programmes like Entrepreneur First, Antler, On Deck or Y Combinator.
Years of experience do not matter as long as relevant experience is in place so do not feel limited by the length of your CV.
