Full-Stack Engineer (C# → Python Migration) | Azure | Regulatory Tech | £100,000–£110,000 + Benefits | Hybrid (London)
Major transformation project underway!
Join a growing technology team as they modernise a suite of C# systems, move workloads into Azure, and begin a strategic migration toward Python and a data-driven architecture.
We're looking for a full-stack engineer with strong C# and Azure experience, solid front-end capability (React/Angular), and a genuine interest in regulatory reporting (EMIR, MiFID, REMIT etc.).
This is a hands-on build role with real influence on architecture, design, and the firm's new data engineering direction.
The Role
You'll work closely with the new Tech Lead and wider engineering group to rebuild internal platforms, modernise legacy applications, and support a major shift toward cloud-native, data-centric engineering.
Your work will include:
You will be responsible for building and enhancing applications across a suite of C#-based systems, ensuring they remain robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
You will design and model databases for data-heavy applications, playing a key role in shaping how data is structured, stored, and accessed.
You will develop front-end applications, ideally having experience building websites from the ground up using React or Angular.
You will contribute to the ongoing migration from C# to Python and Databricks, helping modernise the technology landscape.
You will integrate APIs, connect services, and ensure smooth end-to-end architecture across multiple platforms.
You will support ETL workflows, where light SSIS or general data-movement experience is sufficient.
You will work closely with complex business rules and regulatory behaviours, ensuring systems meet compliance and operational expectations.
This role sits within the project architecture space and offers exposure to a wide range of regulatory requirements as well as involvement in building a new data lake.
Tech Stack & Skills
We're looking for engineers who bring a mix of the following:
Essential
Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET APIs
Solid Azure experience — Event Hubs, hosting, cloud services
Front-end experience in React or Angular, ideally building a site from the ground up
Strong database modelling and engineering capability
Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD
Good PowerShell scripting
Understanding of API integration & system architecture
Desirable
Exposure to Python and Databricks
ETL workflows / SSIS
Regulatory reporting knowledge — especially:
- EMIR
- MiFID
- REMIT
- Secondary: MASS, Canadian regulations
- Experience with business-rule-heavy platforms
You don't need deep commodities experience — regulatory exposure is more valuable.
The Offer
£100,000–£110,000 base + benefits
Hybrid working — 3 days a week in the London office
Opportunity to shape a significant technology transformation
Work closely with senior tech leadership on a modernisation and data engineering programme
