Head of Application Support - £95,000 + Bonus & Benefits - Commodities Trading - Hybrid, LDN

We are partnering with one of the world's leading commodities trading firm, renowned for its expertise in commodities and energy trading. Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Application and Platform Support to lead and oversee their global application support teams.

This role requires someone with a strong technical foundation and proven leadership experience, capable of driving operational excellence across complex trading systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic vision and hands-on management skills, ensuring that the firm's applications run seamlessly to support their fast-paced trading environment.

In this role, you'll lead daily support operations, manage resources across BAU and project work, and coordinate stakeholder communication during critical incidents. Working closely with development, product, and project teams, you'll ensure smooth handovers from delivery to production while maintaining system stability and performance.

You'll oversee the full application lifecycle, manage incidents and problems, and drive continuous improvement in line, as well provide solutions for different issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Look after different application support platforms over the business.
• Make sure that all the applications and platforms up to date and running smooth.
• Provide front-line support for core trading and investment platforms.
• Investigate and resolve real-time application issues, minimising disruption to the business.
• Write and maintain Python scripts for automation and support tooling.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience.
• Working with different Energy & Commodities Trading systems

The Offer:

• Salary: Up to £95,000 per annum + Bonus and Benefits
• Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in the office per week)
• Contract: Permanent
