Lead QA Engineer | Python | Playwright | FinTech / Commodities Trading | £85,000

My client, a leading commodities trading house, is seeking a Lead QA Engineer to work across the front, middle, and back office within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role requires strong technical capability, hands-on leadership, and the ability to build testing solutions from the ground up.

Location: London

Salary: £85,000

Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Key Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python scripting, with proven experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Hands-on expertise with Playwright for test automation.
• Experience leading and delivering Greenfield projects, including designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch.
• Ability to build automation for newly developed systems, particularly in environments with limited or no pre-existing frameworks.
• Exposure to React-based applications is advantageous.
• Background in financial services or FinTech is preferred, with commodities trading experience being a strong advantage.
• Thorough understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile teams to deliver high-quality software.
