A Senior C# .NET Software Engineer is required to join a Capital Markets Payments Technology team building a greenfield Global Payments platform. This is a hands-on C# .NET backend engineering role focused on designing and delivering high-performance Payments APIs and distributed systems within a regulated financial environment.
The firm is a Nasdaq-listed global financial platform expanding its Capital Markets and Global Payments division. They are investing heavily in a new proprietary C# .NET Payments architecture, and require a senior-level C# engineer with strong API development, microservices, and event-driven systems experience.
This is not a feature-delivery role. It is a backend C# .NET engineering position centred around system design, distributed architecture, and building secure, scalable Payments infrastructure from scratch.
The Role – Senior C# .NET Payments Engineer
As a Senior C# .NET Software Engineer within the Payments platform team, you will:
- Architect and develop C# .NET Core backend services for a Global Payments platform
- Design and build low-latency, high-throughput Payments APIs (REST/HTTP)
- Implement event-driven architecture patterns (Pub/Sub, messaging, real-time processing)
- Build distributed microservices in a cloud-native AWS environment
- Optimise performance, caching strategies, and database interactions (SQL Server, MongoDB)
- Contribute to DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, and modern SDLC practices
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to define long-term system design patterns
You will play a key role in shaping a greenfield C# .NET Payments ecosystem serving major financial institutions and corporate clients globally.
