We are looking for a Node.js focused (open to some C# and/or Python) engineer for a FinTech in Trading that build cross asset trading systems. They are expanding their Enterprise capability so need some extra hands on deck currently. They are going AI first this year and require people to be driven by Agentic AI capabilities.
This team will be covering completely new greenfield work within the business meaning a lot of opportunities to work on new opportunities and being able to make an impact across the whole business on large-scale projects.
It is essential this engineer will be able to work on event driven architecture and specifically have experience with Kafka for distributed event streaming.
It is also a chance to collaborate closely with some of the top stakeholders within the business and be able to influence the decision making process in engineering. There are 2 roles available with both being backend-leaning on Node.js/Typescript with some C# or Python in the past.
As a Node.js Developer, your role will be to come in and build out a new AI tooling but also platforms that will benefit the rest of the teams at the business. You would be working very closely with C-level and Heads of the business to fulfil requirements and to redesign parts of the system.
This Node.js focused Software Engineer role is paying up to £130,000 on the top end + bonus + benefits (depending on experience)
Located in London City, St Paul's, with 3 days per week from the office
Node.js, C# and/or Python as a big bonus, Typescript, Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka is a massive plus)
Responsibilities of the Software Engineer:
- Designing, coding, and testing all components of modern web applications.
- Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the technology created/maintained by the delivery team.
- Develop Web Trading Applications using Node.js (and/or C# and Python and React.js
- Develop solutions to a high standard that is maintainable, testable and meets the requirement’s acceptance criteria.
- Ability to write in Kafka and event-driven architecture
- Adhere to development best practices and processes.
- Communicate with team members, introduce ideas, and keep abreast of the latest technologies
