Technical Business Analyst – AI & Process Transformation – Up to £110k – Hybrid, London

A leading financial services organisation is looking to hire a Technical Business Analyst to support a growing programme of AI, automation, and process transformation initiatives across the compliance division.

This is a newly created role focused on identifying opportunities to improve productivity and operational efficiency through the application of emerging technologies, including Generative AI, workflow automation, and agentic solutions. The organisation has identified a number of complex, manual, and data-intensive processes that could benefit from greater automation and intelligence, and is seeking someone who can help shape and deliver these initiatives.

Working at the intersection of business and technology, you will engage with stakeholders to understand existing processes, document requirements, assess current capabilities, and help define future-state solutions. You will play a key role in evaluating how AI can be applied to real business problems, building proof-of-concepts, and working alongside engineering and technology teams to move successful initiatives into production. This role would suit a Technical Business Analyst with experience delivering transformation, automation, data, or AI-related projects who enjoys combining business analysis with technology innovation.

📍 London – Hybrid Working

💰 Up to £110,000 Base Salary + Bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and operational inefficiencies
  • Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements
  • Conduct process mapping and current-state / future-state analysis
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and workflow technologies to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Assess existing systems, data sources, and technology capabilities
  • Produce high-quality functional specifications, user stories, process documentation, and solution designs
  • Support the development of proof-of-concepts and prototype solutions
  • Work closely with Data, Engineering, and Technology teams to translate requirements into deliverable outcomes
  • Assist with solution evaluation, testing, and implementation activities
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices
  • Contribute to the wider AI and innovation roadmap across the organisation
  • Exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, or Intelligent Automation technologies

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Technical Business Analyst within complex enterprise environments
  • Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience analysing and improving business processes
  • Ability to operate effectively between business and technical teams
  • Strong understanding of data-driven solutions and systems integration
  • Experience supporting automation, AI, digital transformation, or technology change initiatives
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with data
  • Experience producing process maps, user stories, business cases, and functional specifications
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
