Global energy trading organisation is looking for an experienced ZEMA Business Analyst to support the ongoing enhancement and optimisation of its market data and analytics platform. This is a functional BA position, focusing on understanding business requirements, shaping workflows, and ensuring effective utilisation of ZEMA across trading, risk, and analytics teams.
Up to £800 per day INside IR35
6-month rolling contract
Hybrid – 2-3 days per week in London
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with trading, risk, and operations stakeholders to gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into functional specifications for ZEMA.
- Support ongoing optimisation of market data ingestion, validation, and distribution across the organisation.
- Liaise with technical teams and vendor contacts to ensure changes, enhancements, and configurations are delivered effectively.
- Document business processes, data flows, and functional behaviours within ZEMA.
- Lead workshops, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure alignment between business needs and ZEMA capabilities.
- Assist in testing, UAT planning, and functional validation of changes.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst within energy trading (power, gas, LNG, oil, or commodities).
- Proven exposure to ZEMA (ZE PowerGroup)—ideally in a functional BA capacity.
- Experience with ZEMA configuration (feeds, transformations, mapping, dataflow setup) is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work closely with front-office and risk teams, understanding the nuances of market data requirements.
