AI Agent Developer
Team – Technology Enablement Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working! Top 3 skills needed for this role:
- Experience building and deploying AI agents using platforms like Microsoft Copilot, Google, and Salesforce
- Skilled in API integration and workflow orchestration across enterprise systems
- Excellent cross-team communicator, able to collaborate effectively and translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
- Intelligent System Design: Build and deploy AI agents using platforms like Microsoft Copilot, Google, Salesforce, and crafting smart, scalable solutions that transform how we work
- Seamless Integration & Orchestration: Connect agents to the tools, data, and services they need to operate autonomously. Use APIs, databases, and enterprise platforms like Azure OpenAI and Microsoft Purview to ensure secure, end-to-end task execution
- Autonomous Decision-Making: Engineer agents with advanced reasoning and planning capabilities, empowering them to act independently, escalate when needed, and stay aligned with user intent and policy
- Reliability & Observability: Instrument agents with robust monitoring, logging, and metrics to ensure transparency, control, and performance in production environments
- Scalable Deployment: Package and deploy agents across environments with a focus on speed, security, and cost-efficiency, ensuring they perform under real-world conditions
- Continuous Improvement: Diagnose and fix multi-step workflow issues, iterate on prompts and logic, and evolve agents based on real-time feedback to boost accuracy and user experience
- Ethical AI & Compliance: Embed safeguards and governance to ensure agents operate responsibly, meeting data privacy, regulatory, and ethical standards with full auditability
- Enablement & Adoption: Partner with AI Enablement Consultants to deliver training, workshops, and support, driving adoption and embedding AI into everyday business operations
- Hands-on experience building and managing AI agents, with strong Python skills and familiarity with key AI frameworks
- Solid understanding of LLM behaviour and prompt engineering, with the ability to design agents that act autonomously within defined boundaries
- Proven ability to integrate APIs and orchestrate workflows that connect agents to enterprise tools and data
- Skilled in translating business processes into scalable agent logic that delivers real-world impact
- Strong communicator, able to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Comfortable managing multiple initiatives and collaborating across teams to co-create solutions
- Familiarity with Azure services, especially Azure OpenAI and Logic Apps, is a plus
