About The Role Team – Data Engineering Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth or London Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working! Top 3 skills needed for this role:

What this role is all about: Join us as a Data Engineer and help build the data foundations that power machine learning and analytics across Vitality. You’ll work with rich datasets and modern technologies to design and deliver reliable data pipelines and APIs that support a company focused on improving people’s health.Key Actions:
  • Partner with our Data Engineering team to build reliable, high-quality data foundations that power fast-moving data streams and cutting-edge predictive models.
  • Deploy and manage machine learning models as scalable APIs that seamlessly support real-time, production-grade applications.
  • Use a diverse toolkit of languages and technologies to design and maintain resilient data pipelines that connect and orchestrate complex systems.
  • Create well-structured datasets and automated processes that enable advanced modelling, mining and large-scale data production.
  • Deliver clean, trusted data to the wider data community and champion improvements that boost reliability, efficiency and overall data quality.
  • Explore new data sources and innovative ways to unlock value from existing datasets and expand analytical capabilities.
  • Provide analytical insight and modelling expertise to support teams across the organisation whenever needed.
What do you need to thrive?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems/Sciences/Maths 
  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, data management and data delivery, database and ETL technologies.
  • Experience using languages / tools / databases such as SQL and NoSQL, Python, Docker.
  • Strong technical experience in designing and delivering data in BI warehouse and/or Big Data Lakes, supporting on premise and cloud architecture
