You'll work across data science, technology and business operations to convert complex data into practical insights and solutions. These solutions will support better outcomes, improve operational efficiency and enhance customer outcomes. You'll solve real-world business obstacles, partner with experts from across the organisation and contribute to the next generation of AI-enabled underwriting and claims capabilities. Key ActionsApply data science, machine learning and AI techniques to improve underwriting and claims decision-making, customer outcomes and business performanceDevelop predictive models, analytical tools and dashboards that provide actionable insights and support operational excellenceWork with complex and diverse data sources to identify trends, risks and opportunities across underwriting and claims journeysTake ownership of data science initiatives from problem definition through to implementation, ensuring solutions deliver measurable valueIdentify opportunities to automate manual processes, streamline workflows and improve efficiency across the customer lifecycleCollaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Medical, Product and Technology teams to understand challenges and develop effective data-driven solutionsBuild and maintain robust datasets, analytical assets and scalable models that support long-term business capabilityEvaluate and implement AI-powered solutions, including intelligent decision support and workflow automation capabilitiesCommunicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to a range of stakeholders, translating complex analysis into meaningful business insightSupport the growth of data-driven decision making and contribute to the development of innovative underwriting and claims capabilitiesWhat do you need to thrive Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related numerical disciplineProven experience applying data science, machine learning and AI techniques to solve complex business problemsStrong SQL and Python skills with the ability to analyse, manipulate and model large datasetsExperience developing and deploying predictive models within a commercial environmentAbility to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for a range of stakeholdersStrong stakeholder management skills with experience working across business and technical teamsCommercial mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business value and operational improvementsExperience working with version control and collaborative code repositories such as GitHub or Bitbucket So, what’s in it for you Bonus Schemes – A bonus that regularly rewards you for your performanceA pension of up to 12%– We will match your contributions up to 6% of your salaryOur award-winning Vitality health insurance – With its own set of rewards and benefitsLife Assurance – Four times annual salaryThese are just some of the many perks that we offer!
