What this role is all about: At Vitality, smart systems keep our business healthy. As a Finance Systems Analyst, you’ll sit at the heart of our finance technology landscape, shaping, improving and future-proofing the systems that power our financial operations. Working closely with Finance, Technology and external partners, you’ll turn ideas into action – translating change into clear, actionable requirements and supporting agile delivery from sprint planning to go-live. You’ll also harness AI and process automation to simplify workflows, enhance insight and create more efficient ways of working.Key Actions Planning and Development
  • Responsible for creating task breakdowns & planning sprints with assigned Developers
  • Maintain project governance deliverables for changes
  • Check Finance Systems 3rd party invoices
  • Support Developers to ensure that changes to assigned Finance Systems are delivered on time and meet requirements 
Analysis and Testing
  • Responsible for documenting requirements for changes to assigned Finance Systems
  • Perform Unit Testing on new features on assigned systems to ensure they meet requirements
  • Coordinate User Testing activity, including documenting test scripts
  • Plan & Execute Go Lives with Key Stakeholders
Support
  • Provide 1st line support on assigned Finance Systems
  •  Actively identify and support opportunities to utilise AI and process automation to streamline finance processes and improve insight
  • Work with Key Stakeholders to find opportunities to improve existing processes
  • Run BAU tasks & MI reports for assigned Finance Systems or Teams
  • Perform User Management tasks on Finance Systems 
What do you need to thrive?
  • Experience working with finance systems and producing operational or MI reports
  • Solid understanding of finance processes and systems change delivery
  • Experience working in Agile, sprint-based environment with developers
  • Confident using delivery and collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, MS Project)
  • Strong technical skills with Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Ability to define clear business requirements and support testing and go-live
  • Understanding of controlled systems change and governance within finance
  • Confident stakeholder engagement and ability to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences
