Senior Software Engineer (.Net / C#)

£70,000 - £80,000 basic salary + benefits

Hybrid – 2 days a week onsite in Leeds

We’re excited to be supporting leading technology employer who are transforming their approach digital technology for customers and colleagues. They currently have a mix of inhouse, offshore and 3rd party software engineering teams, over the course of the next few years they intend to delivery more inhouse aiming to create a more agile software engineering function.

You’ll be part of a growing team of Software Engineers who will be tasked with shaping standards, engineering practices, and delivery approaches. You’ll work with modern technologies, build scalable and secure platforms, and help redefine the customer experience as well as how the business takes technology forward in everything they do.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and maintaining high-quality, customer-facing and back end digital platforms across Web, App, API & Microservices
• Designing scalable, secure solutions in line with modern engineering principles and cloud-based architecture
• Shaping delivery practices, automation, and observability tooling
• Collaborating across teams in product, test, delivery, and service to get great work into customers’ hands
• Coaching others and contributing to the development of an engineering-led culture

What You’ll Bring

You’re an experienced Software Engineer with strong .NET skills and a passion for building scalable, cloud-native solutions. You enjoy working across the stack, exploring new technologies, and contributing to how teams design and deliver software.

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience in C#, .NET Core, and MVC, with a solid grasp of RESTful API design and development.
• Exposure to JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js, and confident with core front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience developing and deploying in the cloud (Azure or AWS), ideally using Infrastructure as Code.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices including CI/CD and Git.
• Knowledge of CMS platforms, authentication methods (OAuth2, OIDC, APIs), and database design with an openness to the database technology you work with.
• A collaborative approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering customer-first outcomes in agile environments.

Recruitment Process:

You will have an initial call with us to discuss the role and your motivations for a move within five working days of your application. The client operates a three-stage interview process which will be a team’s call, a technical interview where you will complete and discuss a coding exercise followed by a final interview.
