The Role
At Vivedia, we believe in creating meaningful moments, which means our AV systems must be reliable, well-designed, and easy to deliver. As our AV Design Engineer, you’ll be the technical bridge between our commercial and operational teams.
Your mission is to turn customer requirements into clear, accurate, and practical designs that work in the real world. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our systems are specified correctly and ready to be delivered "right first time".
What you’ll bring (Requirements)
- Experience: A solid foundation in AV design, engineering, or technical pre-sales.
- Technical Skills: Confidence using AutoCAD and 3D modelling/SketchUp to create detailed technical documentation.
- Eye for Detail: A methodical approach to documentation—you’re the kind of person who spots the small things before they become big problems.
- Communication: The ability to explain complex technical details to both tech experts and non-technical audiences in plain English.
- Practical Mindset: You design solutions that actually work in real-world environments, not just on paper.

What you’ll be doing (Responsibilities)
- Design & Document: Produce high-quality AV system drawings, schematics, and pricing to support our sales and engineering teams.
- Collaborate: Work closely with Business Development, Technical Support, and Procurement to ensure designs are practical and deliverable.
- Technical Support: Act as a subject matter expert during tenders and projects, providing technical input and feasibility advice.
- Quality Control: Maintain consistency and clarity across all AV designs, helping the business scale while keeping quality high.
- Stay Smart: Keep your finger on the pulse of the AV marketplace, staying curious about new technologies and how they integrate with IT systems.
