Junior Business Development Executive
Location: Cambridge (St Johns Innovation Centre - near Cambridge North Station)
Salary: £30,000 Base + £10,000 to £15,000 OTE (Uncapped)
Working Model: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days remote after probation)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

About Vivid AdaptWe are a Cambridge-based Managed IT Service Provider (MSP) helping businesses secure their data and optimise their IT infrastructure. We provide strategic consultancy to the Financial Services and regulated sectors, operating a "land and expand" strategy. We lead with high-value projects to build trust before securing long-term, high-growth partnerships.
The RoleWe are seeking a tenacious, articulate, and driven professional to join our team at the St Johns Innovation Centre. This is a "hunter" role requiring a high volume of outbound activity. You will identify prospective clients, conduct high-level outreach, and open doors within the UK finance sector.
To ensure your success, the first six months are structured as an intensive In-Office Sales Academy. You will work side-by-side with our leadership team to master our "Prospect Scoring" criteria and consultative sales process. Once you have successfully completed your probation, you will transition to our hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities● Lead Generation: Use HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and our proprietary scoring matrix to identify high-value prospects.
● Outreach: Conduct professional outbound calling and personalised email outreach to C-Level executives (CFOs, CEOs) and business owners.
● Qualification: Vet leads pre-call to ensure they meet our strict criteria for Financial Services and regulated sectors.
● Consultative Selling: Book and lead initial discovery meetings (online and in-person).
● CRM Management: Meticulously record all activity, intelligence, and follow-ups in HubSpot.
● Closing: Navigate prospects from "Cold" to "Sold" on introductory services and assist in the transition to long-term Managed Service Agreements.
Who You Are● Perfect English Proficiency: You possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be comfortable engaging in complex business discussions with C-Suite executives.
● Hunter Mentality: You are resilient, motivated by targets, and view rejection as a necessary step toward a successful close.
● Commercial Awareness: You understand (or are eager to learn) concepts like OPEX/CAPEX, FCA/PRA compliance, and the specific pressures facing the UK finance industry.
● Tech-Savvy: You can navigate CRM tools and LinkedIn with ease.
● Local Presence: You are able to commute to our office daily during your probation period and three days per week thereafter.
Requirements● Right to work: Permanent right to work in the UK is essential. We cannot provide sponsorship.
● Communication: Native-level fluency in English.
● Education/Experience: A university degree or 1–2 years of experience in B2B sales (SaaS, Recruitment, or MSP) is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
● Licence/Travel: A valid UK driver’s licence is preferred for client site visits.
