Finance Systems Specialist

VolkerWessels UK is a market leading contracting group of five closely linked businesses.

We provide integrated and ground-breaking solutions for the civil engineering and construction sectors, with specialisms in rail, highways, airports, marine, defence, energy, water, and environmental infrastructure.

We're looking for a detail-driven and technically adept Finance Systems Specialist to elevate and optimise our financial systems across the VolkerWessels group. Reporting into our Senior Finance Systems Manager, this pivotal role bridges the gap between finance and technology, ensuring our ERP platforms, reporting tools, integrations, and financial controls are seamlessly aligned with business goals-delivering accurate, timely, and actionable financial data.

As the subject matter expert, you'll take ownership of financial data flows and system controls, designing, administering, and continuously refining them to uphold integrity and efficiency.

You'll play a key role in supporting the finance team with data validation and process optimisation, while also leading audit and compliance efforts-compiling documentation and liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure annual control sign-offs.

Ultimately, you'll be instrumental in identifying and implementing system and accounting improvements that enhance the finance systems landscape across the group.
