ICT Apprentice

The main purpose of a Vospers ICT Apprentice is to deliver on all related company objectives by providing professional, positive ICT solutions throughout the company. Work closely with the Group ICT Solutions Manager to assist with the delivery of a responsive and reliable service to its customers.

Role

  • Technical support - assist with the resolution of technical enquiries to the service desk
  • Internal operations - contribute to the continuous improvement of the Vospers ICT network
  • Administration and information management - maintain appropriate ICT related documentation
  • Support staff in the appropriate use of ICT within the business
  • Provide technical support by way of assisting with the resolution of ICT related problems
  • Ensure workload and priorities are managed effectively using the department's helpdesk tool
  • Responsible for the general maintenance of ICT equipment throughout the organisation
  • Assist with the deployment of computer-related hardware throughout the organisation
  • All other general activity

Training

You will receive specific on-the-job training from the employer in your workplace at Vospers.

Off-the-job training will be delivered using weekly classroom sessions delivered at the Achievement Training city centre location, or you will be work-based and will be given time in the working week to study towards the theory element of the programme. You will be working towards:

  • Level 3 Information Communications Technician  Apprenticeship Standard
  • Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths (A*-C or 9-4 GSCE) will need to achieve this level before the end of their apprenticeship

You could progress onto advanced and higher apprenticeships and future career opportunities can equate to:

  • IT project management
