Senior Exposure Management Analyst
Responsibilities 
                            Individual responsibilities to BRUK/BREA will include:
- Managing day-to-day catastrophe pricing analysis performed both in-house and through Moody's analytics including value add support to the underwriters ensuring that all risks are modelled in a timely and accurate manner.
 - Produce exposure reports for the roll-up of the BRUK and BREA live portfolios including movements and trends monitoring against a Risk Appetite framework.
 - Reporting of accurate and complete data for retro reinsurance placements.
 - Monitor and manage the exposures in specific areas on both a regular and ad-hoc basis. In particular providing exposure information following a catastrophe and assisting in reporting the potential loss.
 - Work closely with the underwriting teams, actuaries and WRBC to deliver comprehensive and focused insights to underwriters, actuarial and WRBC.
 - Lead initiatives to automate portfolio rollups and streamline exposure management processes for BRUK including integration into wider BRUK tools.
 - Manage corporate returns and support regulatory reporting for BRUK, BREA, and Berkley Europe. As part of the central Exposure Management team there is an expectation to:
 - Contribute to development of a view of risk for all entities that reflects the current view of risk for each line of business including back testing.
 - Contribute to producing external regulatory returns for all entities.
 - Support deep dive reviews and analysis for Syndicate 1967 committee requirements.
 - Contribute and follow the company's Exposure Management Principles and team procedures and assist others in doing so.
 - Provide training and workflow management of junior analysts to assist in reinsurance modelling and other areas of catastrophe modelling.
 - Manage or contribute to various ad hoc exposure management projects such as model validation and emerging risk analysis.
 - Stay abreast of exposure management best practice and emerging trends.
 - Ad hoc reporting requests from the businesses.
 - Peer review of other team members work
 - Assisting other members of the team and the Head of Exposure Management to complete internal and external reporting requirements. Shared with the rest of the Expsosure Management Team.
 
- A degree in physical science or a numerate subject is desired.
 - Excellent working knowledge of the London (re)insurance market and International property treaty business.
 - Proficient user of RMS Risklink and modelling of treaty accounts.
 - Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
 - Must be able to respond positively during busy periods through multi-tasking and effective prioritisation against needs of business.
 - Must be a strong critical thinker who can interrogate the data to ensure it makes sense and challenge when required.
 - Accurate and numerate, with strong attention to detail.
 - Strong Excel skills and SQL/coding experience desirable.
 - Able to work on own and within a collegiate environment and commit to team goals.
 - Ability to work within and promote a diverse and inclusive culture.
 - Demonstrate a hands on, proactive arroach to deliver on detailed individual tasks, but also to take the overview/strategic position and deliver for the long term.
