EPOS Field Engineer

We are seeking a skilled project EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) AND SCO (Self-Checkout) Field Engineers to install client locations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to customer service. Looking for flexible people happy to work days, nights and weekend. Based on a rate card, Travel, Hotels and Miles are paid. You will be based in Cambridge or Peterborough or within 20 mile radius

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Setup:

\n

\n
• Install, configure, and test EPOS systems including tills, receipt printers, barcode scanners, card readers, and Back Office systems.

\n

• Perform site surveys and pre-installation assessments.

\n \n\n

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

\n

\n
• Respond to service calls and diagnose hardware/software faults.

\n

• Repair or replace faulty components and ensure minimal downtime.

\n

• Provide on-site support and ensure systems are fully operational.

\n \n\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• CSCS/ECS (Help can be given to obtain)

\n

• POS equipment Installation and Deinstallation experience essential.

\n

• Positive attitude and a team player.

\n

• Asbestos Awareness (Mandatory) Will provide this

\n

• Willing to be flexible in travel

\n

• Reliable motor vehicle.

\n

• Safety boots (Other PPE will be provided, Hi Viz, Goggles etc) Will be provided

\n

• Basic hand tools, Screwdriver, cordless drill, side cutters and small socket set.

\n

• Lap -Top.
