Software Engineer (Native iOS Developer)

Required for a six-month contract, a software engineer with map development experience across platforms, including Native iOS, the Web and Android.

Primary Role: To build new APIs and tools powering maps development.

Responsibilities:
* Translating client requirements into scalable, reliable code.
* TypeScript migration and modernisation of existing JavaScript APIs.
* Designing APIs to enable developers to build mapping features into their apps.

Skills:
* Six+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
* Proficient in modern ObjectOriented-programming in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS
* Ability to explain complex problems clearly and succinctly
* Passion to collaborate and iterate on ideas on a cross-functional team
* A keen eye for software design and architecture
* CI/CD: Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (Docker)

Additional Skills
* API Design: Designing and building public APIs
* Rendering experience: Computer Graphics APIs, eg OpenGL, Metal, WebGL
* Technical writing: Contributing to or authoring developer documentation
* Functional programming
