Senior Automation Expert

Walker Cole International is supporting a leading pharmaceutical organisation based in West Yorkshire in the appointment of a Senior Automation Expert. This is a key position within the business’s digital transformation strategy, combining leadership, innovation, and technical expertise to drive automation, analytics, and AI initiatives across multiple business functions.

As the Senior Automation Expert, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in enhancing the company’s automation and data capabilities. Working as part of the IT leadership function, you will design and deliver scalable digital solutions that enable smarter decision-making and improved operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing the strategy for analytics, automation, and AI in alignment with business priorities.
• Leading the delivery of dashboards, data models, and AI-driven process improvements.
• Acting as the key contact for automation and AI initiatives across the organisation.
• Championing data-led decision-making and the adoption of self-service analytics.

We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate:

• 4+ years’ experience in data architecture, automation, or AI solution development.
• Expertise with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based environments (Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks).
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
