Engineering Fitter apprenticeship
We specialise in start to finish design, build, and install of a large range of machines ranging from conveyors to highly automated robotic production lines.
Role
Following the required training, apprentice tasks would include:
- Following drawings to build machines, including fitting and adjustment of assembly parts to within spec tolerances
- Dismantle machines for transportation
- The apprentice would assist with carrying out installations at the customers' premises and provide further support to our customers by travelling to their factories to carry out on-site service work as required
Training
- Level 3 Engineering Fitter apprenticeship
- One paid day of college attendance per week at City College Plymouth, Kings Road campus for the duration of the program
- The four remaining days per week are based with the employer.
WMH has had great success with its apprenticeship program with a high percentage carrying on their studies to higher levels once completing their apprenticeship and all have become key members of the team.
