Job Title: Chief AI Infrastructure Architect

Overview

We are seeking a Chief AI Infrastructure Architect to own and lead the technical and architectural strategy for our clients NVIDIA-based AI and GPU infrastructure portfolio. This is a senior, market-facing leadership role that combines deep technical authority with strong commercial awareness.

We are looking to appoint a highly experienced external leader to take full ownership of AI infrastructure architecture and help scale and mature this capability across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority and thought leader for AI and NVIDIA-based infrastructure solutions

• Own end-to-end AI infrastructure architecture across the full stack:

  • GPU/accelerated compute

  • High-performance networking

  • Storage platforms

  • Security architecture (desirable)

• Lead the design, scoping, and delivery models for large-scale AI infrastructure solutions, including:

  • Infrastructure and platform architecture

  • Data centre design considerations (rack layouts, cabling, power, cooling, networking)

  • Creation and validation of detailed Bills of Materials (BoMs)

• Partner closely with commercial, sourcing, and delivery teams to:

  • Define infrastructure sizing and performance models

  • Shape customer-facing solutions and proposals

  • Provide confidence in the organisation's ability to deliver complex AI infrastructure at scale

• Serve as the technical lead and focal point for a significant AI pipeline (~£2.5bn hardware value), ensuring:

  • Architectural consistency

  • Delivery feasibility

  • Clear technical governance

• Define and evolve the organisation's AI Infrastructure strategy, including:

  • Thought leadership on AI data centre design and delivery

  • Best practices for NVIDIA-based platforms

  • Development of a broader AI infrastructure and accelerated computing proposition

• Support internal capability development and act as a mentor and escalation point for senior technical staff

Required Experience

• Extensive experience designing and delivering NVIDIA-based AI infrastructure

• Strong background as a Chief/Principal/Lead Architect or senior Solution Architect in complex infrastructure environments

• Deep understanding of:

  • GPU and accelerated compute platforms

  • High-performance networking

  • Enterprise and AI-scale storage architectures

• Experience working across the entire infrastructure life cycle, from design through delivery

• Commercially astute, with the ability to shape, scope, and articulate solutions to executive stakeholders

• Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on architectural levels

• Experience with large-scale AI, HPC, or hyperscale-style infrastructure environments
