Cloud (AWS/Azure) Governance Analyst (FinOps Exposure)/Remote

We are supporting a leading UK enterprise undergoing continued cloud transformation and are seeking a Cloud Governance Analyst to join their Cloud & Platform function on a 12-month contract.

This is a governance-led role (approx. 80% Cloud Governance/20% FinOps) working across Azure and AWS environments, partnering closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Risk, and FinOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement cloud governance policies, guardrails, and controls

• Identify cloud risks and support mitigation strategies

• Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with FinOps to support cost governance and optimisation initiatives

• Improve governance processes and embed controls into cloud delivery

• Support maturity assessments and continuous improvement initiatives

• Drive automation of governance activities where possible

Environment

• Azure & AWS (multi-cloud estate)

• Native cloud cost tooling + Power BI

• Product-led, platform-based operating model

Required Experience

• Strong cloud governance experience within large enterprise environments

• Solid understanding of Azure and/or AWS governance frameworks

• Experience embedding policies, standards, and risk controls

• Exposure to cloud cost governance/FinOps practices

• Strong stakeholder management across technical and business teams

Desirable

• Azure or AWS certifications

• Experience working in regulated environments

• Exposure to governance automation or policy-as-code

This is a remote role with standard working hours (09:00-17:30). No out-of-hours support required.
