I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a prestigious client who is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their Network and Security Platform Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a hands-on role in a high-impact network engineering function, helping to support a global enterprise infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be working onsite in central London (Tottenham Court Road) and will bring deep experience with data center networks, automation tools, and enterprise-scale WAN technologies.

About the Role

This is a critical technical role where you'll help build, manage, and enhance the client's global network estate-including enterprise offices, co-location sites, and data center environments. You'll work alongside DevOps, Data Center Ops, and Security teams to deploy robust and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain resilient and scalable data center network infrastructure using Cisco and Arista platforms

• Troubleshoot complex issues across routing, switching, Firewalls, and WAN infrastructure

• Automate network operations using Python, Ansible, Git, and Jinja2

• Manage WAN networks using IOS-XR, segment routing, and multi-tenant network designs

• Monitor global network performance using modern observability tools

• Support Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD practices for network provisioning

• Collaborate with stakeholders to roll out strategic infrastructure initiatives

• Provide mentorship to junior team members and promote technical knowledge sharing

• Conduct regular network audits and ensure internal compliance

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience in large-scale enterprise or data center networking

• Deep technical understanding of Cisco and Arista platforms (IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS, EOS)

• Solid expertise in BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN, and MPLS

• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN, segment routing, and multitenant environments

• Proven Scripting and automation skills (Python, Ansible, Jinja2, Git)

• Strong diagnostic skills, including packet analysis and performance tuning

• Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Certifications: CCNP or equivalent preferred; CCIE or similar is highly desirable

• Bonus: Experience with InfiniBand and managing HPC cluster environments
