About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer to join a global manufacturer of professional coffee and vending equipment.
This is a varied office and field-based role, providing technical support to customers and engineers while also travelling to customer sites to provide hands-on assistance.
You will become a technical specialist across a portfolio of commercial coffee machines, bean-to-cup systems and automated vending equipment, supporting installation, commissioning, fault diagnosis and ongoing maintenance.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working with commercial coffee machines, with a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and electromechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers and field engineers.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical and software-related faults on commercial coffee machines.
- Provide telephone and remote technical assistance.
- Attend customer sites to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Support installation, commissioning and servicing of coffee and vending equipment.
- Configure, test and troubleshoot coffee machines and associated systems.
- Assist engineers with technical queries and parts identification.
- Produce technical reports and maintain accurate service records.
- Liaise with internal engineering, product and service teams.
- Provide technical guidance and training where required.
- Identify recurring technical issues and contribute to product improvements.
- Travel throughout the UK as required.
About You
- Previous experience working with commercial coffee machines is essential.
- Experience in technical support, field service or engineering.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Experience with bean-to-cup, traditional espresso or vending machines would be highly advantageous.
- Understanding of pumps, motors, valves, sensors and control systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
- Confident communicating with customers and engineers.
- Good IT and technical documentation skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable working between an office and customer-facing field environment.
