We are partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed technology group to appoint a commercially astute Finance Director for one of its key divisions. This is a critical leadership role at an exciting stage of the group’s development, offering the opportunity to drive performance, influence strategy, and play a central role in value creation ahead. The division is highly profitable and there is significant scope for revenue growth as the business starts a new business cycle under a highly supportive and ambitious shareholder.

The Role

Reporting to the Divisional MD and Group CFO, the Finance Director will act as a true business partner to the Division’s leadership team. You will take full ownership of an established finance function while supporting the strategic, commercial and operational agenda of the Division.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making and commercial performance
• Driving and supporting an ambitious growth agenda as a key member of the Division’s leadership team
• Ensuring robust financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across the Division
• Enhancing reporting capabilities and ensuring fit for purpose financial controls
• Building strong relationships across the business, with other Divisions and with Group functions

The Candidate

We are seeking an exceptional finance leader with a strong track record of operating in fast-paced environments. Previous experience in a private equity-backed organisation is not a pre-requisite, but candidates must have worked in either a high-growth environment, or for a business experience significant transformation. The role requires the ability to influence and challenge at board level, along with a hands-on approach and strong commercial acumen.

Key requirements:

• A professional accounting qualification
• Proven experience in a finance leadership role supporting a revenue stream
• Demonstrable experience of driving performance improvement and value creation
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
• Experience of working in a business that is either scaling up at pace, or going through significant transformation
