Frontend Web Developer

Walker and Sloan are proud to be working with an award winning Digital Marketing Agency in Essex, as they are keen to bring on board a full time Frontend Web Developer to the team. The role can be hybrid with occasional visits to their offices.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Frontend Web Developer to help build and maintain websites for our digital marketing agency and our clients. You’ll be involved in both internal projects (like improving our own site) and external work (designing and launching client websites). You’ll always receive clear briefs and realistic expectations.

This role is well-supported, flexible, and ideal for someone who enjoys focused work and being part of a friendly, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

Building and Maintaining Websites:

• Create websites using WordPress, Shopify, and Elementor (or similar builders)
• Keep sites running smoothly with regular plugin updates, backups, and basic troubleshooting
• Monitor site performance using tools like UptimeRobot
• Use SiteGround (or similar) for hosting, backups, and site settings
• Make changes using CSS, basic JavaScript, and basic database editing (e.g. MySQL)

Experience That Will Help (But Isn’t Essential):

• Tools like VWO, Hotjar, or other testing/conversion platforms
• Basic SEO knowledge (meta titles, indexing, site speed)
• If you’ve worked with clients before, this will be beneficial
