Location: Suffolk (Hybrid – 4 days in HQ)

Salary: Between £50k-£55k (DOE) benefits

Known for delivering outstanding results, we’re now looking for a Head of SEO to lead our growing SEO team, shape strategy, and continue to drive measurable success for our clients.

The Role

As Head of SEO, you will take ownership of the agency’s SEO offering, leading strategy across a wide range of clients. You’ll manage and develop a talented team, while also being hands-on with high-level strategy, client relationships, and performance.

This role is perfect for a senior SEO professional with strong leadership skills, commercial acumen, and a passion for innovation in search.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of SEO strategies across technical, content, and off-page.
• Manage, mentor, and grow the SEO team, ensuring best practice and continuous development.
• Act as the SEO lead for key client accounts, building strong relationships and providing senior-level consultancy.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on SEO performance, translating data into actionable insights.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies to keep the agency ahead of the curve.
• Collaborate with other channel leads (PPC, Paid Social, Content, Web) to deliver integrated digital campaigns.
• Support new business pitches and proposals, providing SEO expertise and insight.

About You

• Proven experience in a senior SEO role, ideally within an agency environment.
• Strong technical SEO knowledge (site audits, indexing, crawl optimisation, site speed, schema, etc.).
• Solid understanding of content marketing, outreach, and link acquisition strategies.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and growing a team.
• Commercially minded with experience working on large budgets and enterprise-level clients.
• Strong communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficient with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, GSC, etc.
