AVT Implementation Manager

Job summary

We are recruiting experienced and driven project manager to lead one of the most significant digital transformation programmes.

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust (RWT) and Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust (WHT) are working together to implement Ambient Voice Technology (AVT), specifically Heidi Health, across both organisations. This technology uses AI to automatically generate clinical documentation during patient consultations, reducing the administrative burden on clinicians, improving letter turnaround times, and freeing up more time for direct patient care.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-profile, Group-wide digital programme from inception to full roll-out, working at the forefront of AI-enabled healthcare. You will have real ownership, visible impact, and the chance to build lasting change across two NHS Trusts.

As AVT Implementation Manager, you will have end-to-end accountability for planning, coordination and delivery of the Heidi Health deployment across your Trust, working in close partnership with your counterpart at the other organisation.

Working across clinical, digital, informatics, workforce and change management teams - as well as directly with the Heidi Health supplier - you will be the driving force behind adoption, benefits realisation and the sustainability of new ways of working.

Main duties of the job

Your key responsibilities will include:

o Leading the development and maintenance of a comprehensive programme plan, including milestones, dependencies, critical path and resource requirements

o Managing all aspects of phased deployment across priority clinical settings, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards

o Leading the change management approach - engaging clinical champions, overcoming resistance and embedding new ways of working across departments

o Developing and delivering a structured stakeholder communication plan across both Trusts

o Coordinating with digital and informatics colleagues to ensure technical readiness, including DPIA completion, IG sign-off, Caldicott and SIRO approvals

o Managing the supplier relationship with Heidi Health, ensuring contractual obligations are met and issues resolved promptly

o Overseeing staff onboarding and training at each deployment site, monitoring adoption rates

o Establishing and maintaining a benefits realisation framework, tracking productivity savings and quality improvements against the approved business case

o Preparing high-quality programme reports, exception reports and presentations for the AVT Implementation Group and Steering Group

o Supporting post-implementation review and lessons learned to inform future digital programmes across the Group
