About the Opportunity
Join a fast-growing maritime technology business developing wind-assisted propulsion systems that help reduce fuel consumption and emissions across global shipping.
This is a rare opportunity for a Performance Engineer to join a growing team and help shape how performance is measured, understood, and improved across a fleet of commercial vessels. The role is ideally suited to someone with experience working with real-world engineering data, telemetry, or industrial systems.
Working closely with engineering, software, and commercial teams, you will own the end-to-end data and insight pipeline, ensuring operational data is captured accurately and translated into meaningful insight.
Key Requirements
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Data Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline
• Solid experience working with real-world engineering or industrial data
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and processing workflows
• Strong analytical capability, able to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear insight
• Experience developing dashboards or reporting tools for technical and non-technical users
• Exposure to data from physical systems such as sensors, telemetry, or industrial equipment
• Experience within marine, energy, or industrial environments would be advantageous
• Exposure to reliability analysis, performance modelling, or cloud-based data systems would be beneficial
Role & Responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end data and insight pipeline across operational performance reporting
• Design how data flows from onboard systems through to internal tools and customer-facing reporting
• Build and maintain data pipelines, workflows, and reporting processes
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools for internal and external stakeholders
• Translate complex datasets into clear conclusions that support engineering improvements, reliability decisions, and validated fuel-saving claims
• Work closely with engineering, software, and commercial teams to improve how data is structured, automated, and applied
• Help close the loop between real-world operation and product development
Why Join?
A rare opportunity to join a business developing real-world clean technology for the global shipping market.
You will benefit from working on real climate-impact hardware, enjoying genuine ownership of the product performance feedback loop, gaining broad exposure across engineering, data, software, and commercial teams, and helping shape how clean shipping performance is measured globally.
