Head of Engineering (.NET)

Location: Norfolk (Hybrid/Office-based or fully remote)

Salary: Dependant on experience + equity

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Were looking for a hands-on Head of Engineering to lead a growing team building secure, real-time applications at scale for a small, extremely well-funded company in the iGaming space. Youll shape architecture across C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, microservices and SQL Server, improve performance and reliability, and raise engineering standards as the platform evolves.

Youll mentor developers, support career growth and help create a culture that values clarity, curiosity and accountability. Day to day, youll work closely with Product, QA, Ops and Marketing teams to keep delivery smooth and focused on business outcomes. Third-party integrations (payment systems, external APIs, game providers) are a core part of the environment, as is maintaining uptime in high-traffic, event-driven scenarios.

Youll bring:

• Proven experience leading engineering teams, ideally within iGaming
• Deep .NET expertise (C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server)
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Exposure to CI/CD, Git and DevOps workflows
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Its a bonus if youve worked with:

Payment integrations, compliance frameworks (AML/KYC), gaming platforms, analytics or personalisation.
