Full Stack Engineer
Role: Graduate or Junior Frontend Developer
Location: Glasgow preferred or Dundee
Hybrid: 3x days onsite
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 approx but negotiable
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Frontend Developer to join our talented small team at the beginning of our digital journey. This is a opportunity to work closely with everyone in the business, providing direct visibility and an opportunity to shine through your collaboration and merit.

What you’ll be doing:
· Collaborate with the Digital team to design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and responsive user interfaces for web applications using modern frontend technologies.
· Implement high-fidelity designs into functional, performant, and accessible user experiences.
· Participate actively in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the user experience (UX) and functionality of web applications.
· Write clean, efficient, and well-documented TypeScript code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
· Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of the developed applications.
· Work closely with backend developers to effectively integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and APIs.
· Deploy and maintain web applications using AWS Amplify and related cloud services.
· Work closely with the team to identify and troubleshoot any issues or bugs, providing timely resolutions.
· Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in frontend web development to continuously enhance your skills and contribute to the team's growth.
· Assist in the maintenance and support of existing web applications, ensuring their smooth operation and performance optimization.
What we’re looking for:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
· Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
· Expert knowledge of React and the Next.js framework for building performant applications.
· Proficiency with modern styling methods, including Tailwind CSS and/or experience with component libraries like MUI (Material UI).
· Strong understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
· Familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs and modern state management patterns.
· Basic knowledge of database systems and SQL.
· Experience with deployment pipelines and services, particularly AWS Amplify or other CI/CD processes.
· Any knowledge in AI/ML for Computer Vision and/or data analytics would be highly advantageous.
· Cloud computing and database knowledge.
· Knowledge of communications technology (such as MQTT, etc.).
· Familiarity with Edge microprocessors / development boards (Nvidia, Arduino, Raspberry Pi).

· A passion for learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, your default should be Openness and transparency.
