Business Development Manager Healthcare
We are partnering with a leading global technology and consulting organisation seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the UK and Ireland public-sector healthcare market.
This is a senior, client-facing sales role focused on developing new business, building relationships with healthcare leaders and positioning a broad portfolio of Health-Tech, digital transformation and IT services.
The successful candidate will combine strong healthcare-sector knowledge with a consultative sales approach and a proven track record of shaping and closing complex opportunities.
The role:
You will take responsibility for developing a qualified sales pipeline and converting opportunities across public-sector healthcare organisations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities across public-sector healthcare
- Building and maintaining a strong, qualified sales pipeline
- Developing strategic sales plans aligned with market and account priorities
- Establishing relationships with C-suite executives, healthcare leaders and senior decision-makers
- Understanding client challenges and translating them into compelling Health-Tech and IT propositions
- Developing business cases, value propositions and commercial solutions
- Leading complex, consultative sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract award
- Shaping new-logo opportunities and expanding relationships within target accounts
- Managing proposals, bids, sales reporting and pipeline governance
- Working with solution, delivery, commercial and partner teams throughout the sales lifecycle
- Collaborating with hyperscalers, consulting firms and advisory partners on joint opportunities
- Monitoring emerging healthcare, technology and regulatory trends
About you:
You will be an established business development professional with a successful track record of selling Health-Tech, digital transformation or IT services into healthcare organisations.
You should bring:
- Significant experience selling technology, consulting or managed services into healthcare
- Strong knowledge of the UK public-sector healthcare landscape
- Experience working with NHS organisations, healthcare bodies or health and social care providers
- A proven record of generating new-business revenue and winning complex opportunities
- Experience selling through a consultative or solution-led approach
- Knowledge of public-sector procurement routes and healthcare regulatory frameworks
- Strong relationships with senior stakeholders and C-suite decision-makers
- Experience developing propositions, business cases and innovative commercial structures
- Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Knowledge of emerging Health-Tech and wider technology market trends
- Experience working with geographically distributed sales, solution and delivery teams
- The resilience, drive and self-motivation required to succeed in a competitive market
Experience working with hyperscalers, advisory organisations or consulting partners during bids would be highly advantageous.
