Business Development Manager
We’re partnering with a leading global technology and consulting organisation looking to hire a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across the UK Utilities sector.
This is a pure hunting role focused on winning new logos and building a strong pipeline across energy, water, and renewables clients.
The Opportunity:
You’ll play a key role in expanding market share across the Utilities sector, selling a broad portfolio of:
- IT Services
- Business Process Services
- Engineering Services
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and leadership, helping shape and execute sales strategy while personally leading new business pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, shape and win new business opportunities across the Utilities sector
- Build and maintain relationships at senior (CxO) level
- Develop compelling propositions and business cases
- Lead sales cycles from initial engagement through to deal closure
- Contribute to sector sales strategy and go-to-market approach
- Maintain strong pipeline management, reporting, and bid governance
- Drive new logo acquisition across the UK
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven track record of winning new business in the Utilities sector
- Experience selling IT services, outsourcing or consulting solutions
- Strong ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Commercially aware with experience structuring complex deals
- Highly driven, target-focused and resilient
Experience Required:
- Strong experience within the Utilities sector (energy, water, renewables)
- Background in consultative / solution sales
- Experience working within major global System Integrators
- Understanding of IT services, industry trends, and market dynamics
- Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
