Head of Sales (Utilities)
We’re working with a leading global technology and consulting organisation seeking a Head of Sales in the Utilities Sector to drive significant growth across the UK & Ireland.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on winning new business, building executive relationships, and shaping go-to-market strategy across the utilities landscape.
The Opportunity:
You’ll take ownership of developing and executing sales strategy across a diverse utilities customer base, including:
- Electricity & Gas (Retail, Generation, Distribution & Transmission)
- Water & Wastewater
- Renewables
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll lead complex, high-value deals across IT Services, Business Process Services, and Engineering Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a clear sales strategy for the Utilities sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships at CxO and Board level
- Identify, shape and convert large-scale opportunities into wins
- Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, including bid strategy and governance
- Drive new logo acquisition and revenue growth across the UK & Ireland
- Manage and mentor a team of Business Development and Pre-Sales professionals
- Maintain a strong pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven track record of winning large outsourcing / IT services deals within the Utilities sector
- Strong network and ability to influence senior decision-makers
- Deep understanding of consultative / solution-based selling
- Commercially astute with experience structuring complex deals
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution
Experience & Background:
- Extensive experience in the Utilities and/or IT services market
- Recognised as a credible leader or “thought partner” in the sector
- Ideally working for a major global Systems Integrator
- Strong understanding of industry trends, technology, and market dynamics
- Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
