Head of Sales (Utilities)

We’re working with a leading global technology and consulting organisation seeking a Head of Sales in the Utilities Sector to drive significant growth across the UK & Ireland.

This is a high-impact leadership role focused on winning new business, building executive relationships, and shaping go-to-market strategy across the utilities landscape.

The Opportunity:

You’ll take ownership of developing and executing sales strategy across a diverse utilities customer base, including:

  • Electricity & Gas (Retail, Generation, Distribution & Transmission)
  • Water & Wastewater
  • Renewables

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll lead complex, high-value deals across IT Services, Business Process Services, and Engineering Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a clear sales strategy for the Utilities sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at CxO and Board level
  • Identify, shape and convert large-scale opportunities into wins
  • Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, including bid strategy and governance
  • Drive new logo acquisition and revenue growth across the UK & Ireland
  • Manage and mentor a team of Business Development and Pre-Sales professionals
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven track record of winning large outsourcing / IT services deals within the Utilities sector
  • Strong network and ability to influence senior decision-makers
  • Deep understanding of consultative / solution-based selling
  • Commercially astute with experience structuring complex deals
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution

Experience & Background:

  • Extensive experience in the Utilities and/or IT services market
  • Recognised as a credible leader or “thought partner” in the sector
  • Ideally working for a major global Systems Integrator
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, technology, and market dynamics
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
