IoT Solutions Sales Consultant (Defence & Aerospace)
This is an opportunity for an experienced consulting-led sales and pre-sales professional to play a strategic role in driving growth across Digital Engineering, IoT, and connected solutions within the Defence & Aerospace sector.
The role focuses on helping Defence and Aerospace organisations realise value from secure, data-driven, and connected operations across complex, mission-critical environments. You will operate at the intersection of technology, consulting, and business transformation, shaping and closing high-value engagements across the UK and European markets.
The Role
As a Digital Engineering & IoT Solutions Sales Consultant, you will lead consulting-led sales, pre-sales, and solutioning activities across Defence and Aerospace accounts. The role requires strong sector knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to shape and close complex deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Defence & Aerospace organisations
- Strengthen market positioning as a strategic growth and transformation partner
- Work with sales teams to win new clients and expand existing accounts
- Shape, cross-sell, and up-sell Digital Engineering and connected solutions
- Develop and execute consulting-led sales and growth strategies
- Collaborate with global teams across growth, partnership, practice, and delivery
- Partner with internal teams and technology providers to deliver end-to-end digital engagements
- Contribute to solution campaigns and thought leadership initiatives
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in consulting sales, pre-sales, or solutioning within Defence and/or Aerospace
- Strong understanding of digital engineering and connected systems in regulated, mission-critical environments
- Track record of shaping complex deals and converting pipeline into revenue
- Experience engaging CXO-, Programme Director-, and senior engineering stakeholders
- Knowledge of systems engineering, secure architectures, digital twins, and connected platforms
- Experience working with technology and industry partners in complex delivery environments
Desirable
- Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or a related discipline
- Experience operating within government or defence procurement environments
- Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Consultative, structured, and results-driven approach
Location: UK (various locations considered)
Package: £100,000 - £120,000 Basic + Benefits + Bonus
