Sales Director - BFSI
A leading global digital engineering and technology consultancy is looking for an experienced Sales Director to drive growth across the UK Banking and Insurance market.
This is a senior, revenue-owning role focused on selling high-value digital, technology and transformation services into UK-regulated financial institutions, leveraging offshore and onshore delivery models.
The Opportunity:
You will take ownership of the full sales lifecycle across Tier 1, Tier 2 and challenger banks, building societies, and insurers — from strategic prospecting through to complex deal closure.
This role is ideal for a senior sales professional who:
- Understands the UK regulatory landscape (FCA, PRA, operational resilience)
- Has successfully sold offshore-enabled consulting or technology services
- Thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise environments
- Can shape and close large, multi-year transformation programmes
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Market Development:
- Define and execute a targeted sales strategy across UK banking and insurance.
- Build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Identify digital transformation, regulatory change, cloud, data, quality engineering and managed services opportunities.
- Monitor regulatory and competitive trends to unlock growth.
Client Leadership & Account Growth:
- Develop C-suite and senior stakeholder relationships (CIO, CTO, COO, Heads of Change, Procurement).
- Position the organisation as a trusted digital transformation partner.
- Lead cross-sell and upsell initiatives across multiple service lines.
- Develop strategic account plans with revenue targets and growth roadmaps.
Sales Execution & Complex Deal Management
- Own end-to-end sales lifecycle: qualification, solution shaping, commercials, negotiation and closure.
- Lead complex, enterprise-scale bids and framework agreements.
- Structure pricing models aligned to margin and risk objectives.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM discipline.
Offshore & Bestshore Enablement
- Design scalable offshore / nearshore delivery solutions (e.g. India, Eastern Europe).
- Address regulatory, operational resilience and data security concerns.
- Collaborate closely with solution architects and global delivery teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven success selling digital, technology or management consultancy into UK financial services.
- Experience working with Tier 1 / Tier 2 banks, insurers or regulated institutions.
- Strong track record of selling offshore-enabled delivery models.
- Experience leading large, complex, multi-year deals.
- Deep understanding of the UK financial regulatory landscape.
- Strong commercial acumen and executive-level influencing capability.

Qualifications:
Essential
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP or similar)
