An established global digital and technology consultancy is seeking an experienced Sales Director – Financial Services to drive growth across the UK Financial Services sector. This is a senior revenue-generating role focused on expanding strategic relationships across retail banking, commercial banking, investment banking, challenger banks, building societies and insurance. The position offers significant scope to shape market strategy while leading complex, high-value consulting and technology engagements.
The Role
You will own the end-to-end sales lifecycle across new and existing accounts within UK-regulated financial services organisations. The role centres on selling digital and technology-led consulting services, supported by scalable offshore and bestshore delivery capabilities. This is a highly visible position requiring strong executive engagement, commercial leadership, and the ability to position complex transformation solutions in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a targeted sales strategy across the UK banking and insurance sector
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline across Tier 1, Tier 2 and challenger institutions
- Develop senior relationships at C-suite (CIO, CTO, COO, Heads of Change, Procurement)
- Lead complex, multi-year consulting and managed service bids
- Shape commercially sound proposals aligned to margin and risk objectives
- Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities across digital, cloud, data, regulatory change, and quality engineering services
- Work closely with delivery and solution teams to design compliant offshore-enabled delivery models
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM discipline
Essential Experience
- Experience operating within a global consulting or technology services organisation
- Proven track record selling digital, technology or management consultancy services into UK banking and/or insurance
- Strong network within regulated financial services organisations
- Experience selling offshore or bestshore delivery models
- Demonstrable success leading enterprise-scale bids and framework agreements
- Solid understanding of the UK regulatory landscape (FCA, PRA, operational resilience, data and risk considerations)
- Strong commercial acumen and executive-level stakeholder management capability

Package: £130,000 - £150,000 Basic + Excellent Commission Plan
