A leading global financial institution is hiring an Engineering Lead (VP-level) to help shape the future of a greenfield digital platform, a unified hub consolidating multiple applications into a seamless experience for high-net-worth clients.

Youll lead one of three cross-functional squads (around nine people including Engineers, QA, BA, and Scrum Master), combining hands-on React/TypeScript development with strategic leadership across architecture, delivery, and stakeholder management.

What youll do

• Lead and coach a high-performing engineering squad
• Stay hands-on with React, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks
• Own technical strategy, architecture, and delivery
• Collaborate with product and business teams to align technical decisions with client needs
• Drive innovation, quality, and continuous improvement

Stack: React, TypeScript, JavaScript (React Query, Highcharts; Java + AWS a bonus)

Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite in central London

Package: ~140k+ (Up to 110k base + bonus + pension + private healthcare)

This is a high-impact leadership role where youll combine technical excellence, team development, and product ownership to deliver a flagship platform used by some of the firms most important clients.
