Programme Manager - Technology

We are seeking an experienced Technology Programme Manager to lead the delivery of a complex, multi-workstream technology programme.

This contract role will suit someone comfortable operating in fast-paced environments, coordinating senior stakeholders, and driving delivery across engineering, product, data, and operations teams.

Contract Length: Initial 12 month contract

Location: London + Hybrid/Remote (UK)

Day Rate: Very Competitive

Start Date: February 2nd

You will take ownership of programme governance, planning, dependencies, risks, and outcomes — ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities | Programme Manager – Technology:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of a large-scale technology programme spanning multiple workstreams
  • Define and maintain programme plans, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths
  • Establish and run robust programme governance
  • Manage senior stakeholder engagement across technology and business functions
  • Track delivery progress, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate programme-level risks and issues
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical delivery
  • Drive accountability across delivery leads and vendors/partners
  • Support change management, communications, and benefits realisation

Required Experience | Programme Manager – Technology:

  • Proven experience as a Programme Manager delivering complex technology programmes
  • Strong background working across engineering, product, cloud, data, or platform teams
  • Experience managing multiple projects/workstreams concurrently
  • Comfortable working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
  • Strong stakeholder management at Director / C-suite level
  • Excellent planning, reporting, and governance skills
  • Track record of delivering outcomes in ambiguous or evolving environments

Desirable Experience | Programme Manager – Technology:

  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g. financial services, payments, insurance)
  • Vendor and third-party delivery management
  • Transformation or large-scale platform modernisation programmes
  • Exposure to cloud migrations, data platforms, or enterprise systems
