Data Administrator
Interim Contract with longer term opportunity
Salary: £28,000–£34,000 (daily rate equivalent)
Location: Camberley, Surrey (Hybrid – 2 Days Office)
About
We're working with a well-known FMCG business that's looking to hire a Data Administrator to join their Supply Chain team. This is a straightforward but important role focused on keeping business data accurate and up to date, ensuring key systems are maintained correctly and supporting the wider team with day-to-day administration.
The Role
This isn't a data analyst position or a role requiring advanced data manipulation. Instead, we're looking for someone who enjoys working with data, has excellent attention to detail, and is happy carrying out high volumes of data entry accurately.
You'll spend your time creating and updating records, maintaining spreadsheets and systems, checking information is correct, processing requests from internal teams and ensuring business data remains accurate. It's a great opportunity for someone with previous administration experience in a finance, supply chain or operational environment who enjoys organised, process-driven work.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, update and maintain data across internal business systems.
- Create new product, supplier and location records.
- Process amendments and remove outdated information when required.
- Check data for accuracy and resolve any errors or inconsistencies.
- Maintain spreadsheets and ensure records remain up to date.
- Process requests from internal departments within agreed timescales.
- Support the wider Supply Chain team with general administration.
- Produce basic reports using Excel when required.
- Ensure all information is entered accurately and in line with company processes.
- Assist with ad-hoc administrative duties across the team.
In an ideal world, we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a Data Administrator, Administrator, Finance Assistant, Supply Chain Administrator or similar role.
- Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
- Someone who enjoys organised, repetitive administrative work and takes pride in accuracy.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with different teams.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience working within a finance, logistics, supply chain or office administration environment would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
- Immediate availability is required
Why Join?
This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team where you'll receive full training and play an important role in keeping the business running smoothly. It's ideal for someone looking for a administrative role with long-term development opportunities, rather than a heavily analytical or technical data position.
