Global Leader Developing Scientific Software are looking for Software Engineer (Python) to join their London Office.

This is the rare role that sits right at the intersection of software and science.
β The Role
- Build data integrations that pull outputs from lab instruments β spectrometers, rheometers, HPLCs and more β straight into the platform
- Design automated pipelines connecting customer systems β ELNs, LIMS, spreadsheets, databases β to Uncountable
- Write Python to parse, validate and transform scientific data files across every format imaginable
- Work directly with customer technical teams β map their schemas, deliver clean, well-documented integrations
- Feed integration patterns back to core engineering to be built into the product itself
- Own your work end to end β build it, ship it, see exactly what it changed. No layer of process between your code and the scientist who depends on it
π― What We're Looking For
- 0β2 years as a software engineer with strong technical fundamentals
- A Bachelor's in Computer Science (Strong University eg Oxford Cambridge etc..)
- Python as your primary language
- Hands-on with REST APIs, SQL databases, and Excel/CSV data pipelines
- (nice to have) A genuine pull towards science β studied chemistry, family in the space, an internship at a chemical company, or another clear marker
- Bonus: exposure to lab environments, scientific instrumentation or research data flows, plus prior time at a startup or fast-paced technical team
