Founding FDE/Solutions Lead Insurance AI

A fast-growing, very well-funded AI startup backed by top-tier investors are looking for a Founding FDE/Solutions Lead based in London

You will be the first person on the ground in London: owning the full customer journey from pre-sales through implementation, while shaping the product roadmap for the UK & EMEA market.

This is a rare 0-to-1 opportunity f or a high-energy operator who lives at the intersection of insurance domain expertise, customer delivery and product thinking — and wants to build something from the ground up.

What you'll be doing:

• Support sales alongside AEs building demos and pitches, and bringing deep insurance credibility to accelerate deal cycles
• Own end-to-end implementations discovery, configuration and go-live for London Market carriers, MGAs and brokers
• Act as the internal insurance SME, translating real-world workflows into product requirements and feeding insight directly to the CTO and engineering team
• Shape the UK/EMEA roadmap spotting what's working in the US and adapting it for the London Market
• Be the founding team member on the ground setting the culture, building the playbook and laying the foundations for a team of ~20 over the next 12–18 months

Essential Skills

• 5–10+ years in commercial P&C or London Market insurance (underwriting, claims, ops or consulting) — domain expertise is a must-have
• Proven track record owning end-to-end enterprise implementations or technical deployments, not just pre-sales
• Equally comfortable in front of customers (sales, demos, workshops) and working internally with engineers on product and delivery
• Comfortable using AI tools to prototype
• High energy, low ego, and genuinely excited by ambiguity — this is not a role for someone who needs a ready-made playbook
• Based in London, able to work hybrid (~3 days/week in the City) and travel across the UK & Europe for customers and conferences
