Overview: We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Cloud Technical Architect with deep experience in designing and delivering cloud infrastructure solutions for the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), DevOps and a strong understanding of insurance applications and systems. Experience with Guidewire solutions (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) and Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) is a strong advantage. This role will focus on driving end-to-end cloud infrastructure strategy, design, and implementation for complex insurance transformation projects, infrastructure automation, including legacy modernization and application & Data migration to cloud. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Architecture:
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure for insurance platforms and workloads
- Lead infrastructure strategy for cloud migrations of insurance core systems, including on-prem to cloud transitions.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure using native services for performance, cost-efficiency, and high availability.
- Define best practices for cloud operations, monitoring, disaster recovery, and compliance.
- Provide cloud infrastructure implementation support for core insurance platforms, including Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
- Design infrastructure aligned with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) standards and deployment practices.
- Implement infrastructure automation using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and implement CI/CD pipelines for insurance solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security frameworks specific to insurance carriers.
- Partner with application architects, developers, DevOps, and IT operations to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
- Guide infrastructure sizing, load balancing, performance tuning, and environment scalability.
- Provide hands-on support for network design, identity management, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and cloud-native tooling.
- Conduct cloud readiness assessments and gap analysis for Guidewire infrastructure transformation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to insurance clients on cloud infrastructure design, Data migration, security, and architecture governance.
- Engage with business and IT stakeholders to align technical solutions with insurance product and operations strategy.
- Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and proofs of concept (PoCs).
- 5+ years of experience in Tech Arch including cloud infrastructure architecture and delivery (AWS and/or Azure).
- Strong experience with insurance applications and platforms in cloud environments.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire solutions and Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP).
- Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud architecture models, deployment automation, and support practices.
- Experience integrating cloud infrastructure with DevOps, Monitoring (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog), and Logging tools (ELK, Splunk).
- Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance (including regulatory needs in insurance), and networking.
- Knowledge of data migration, analytics integration, and insurance data models is preferred.
- Guidewire certifications (Cloud or V10) are a plus.
- Experience with Guidewire upgrades, disaster recovery design, and cloud governance models.
- Prior involvement in legacy-to-cloud modernization of Guidewire implementations.
- Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud deployment models.
- Experience working in Agile and distributed development environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
