Senior Technical Architect

The Certified Power Platform Architect is responsible for providing technical leadership and architectural direction for large‐scale enterprise Power Platform implementations, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with organisational strategy, governance, and regulatory requirements. The role drives the definition, delivery, and continuous improvement of Power Platform capabilities across complex environments while mentoring delivery teams and enabling successful adoption at scale.

  • Own the end‐to‐end solution architecture for enterprise Power Platform implementations, translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and well‐governed technical designs in line with PL‐600 responsibilities.
  • Define and mature Power Platform strategy, architecture standards, and governance frameworks for complex and regulated enterprise environments, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and organisational policies.
  • Lead the design and oversight of Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and integrations, providing architectural assurance and technical direction to development teams in accordance with PL‐400 best practices.
  • Guide functional solution design by collaborating with business stakeholders, ensuring requirements are effectively captured, validated, and delivered through appropriate Power Platform capabilities, reflecting PL‐200 expertise.
  • Provide technical leadership across large‐scale Power Platform rollouts (20,000+ users), ensuring performance, reliability, adoption, and operational readiness at enterprise scale.
  • Act as the primary technical authority and escalation point for complex solution design, integration, security, and performance challenges throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach consultants and junior consultants, supporting skill development across architecture, functional design, and development disciplines.
  • Produce and maintain high‐level and low‐level design documentation, architecture artefacts, and implementation standards using tools such as Confluence and Jira to support delivery, governance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive delivery excellence by leading teams operating within Agile and Kanban methodologies, ensuring predictable delivery, continuous improvement, and alignment with business outcomes.
  • Ensure all Power Platform solutions adhere to established governance models, security controls, and compliance requirements, championing best practices and reusable patterns across the platform.

Power Platform Architecture & Delivery

  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise‐scale Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI) in complex environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership of large Power Platform rollouts supporting 20,000+ users.

Strategy, Governance & Compliance

  • Strong hands‐on experience defining, implementing, and maturing Power Platform strategy and governance frameworks.
  • In‐depth knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory controls relevant to enterprise and regulated organisations.

Technical Design & Development Oversight

  • Advanced understanding of solution design patterns, integrations, ALM, and DevOps practices for Power Platform.
  • Ability to provide technical assurance and act as an escalation point for complex architectural and delivery challenges.

Functional Consulting Capability

  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective Power Platform solutions, ensuring usability, scalability, and business value.

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring consultants and junior consultants through technical and delivery challenges in a project or programme context.

Delivery Methodologies

  • Strong experience leading delivery using Agile and Kanban methodologies within enterprise programmes.

Documentation & Tools

  • Experience producing high‐level and low‐level design documentation, architecture artefacts, and standards using tools such as Confluence and Jira.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, programme leadership, and business stakeholders to influence decisions and drive delivery outcomes.
