Administrative Assistant
Job summary
We are looking for an administrative assistant to join our team. This role will form part of the workings of the practice, across many areas and teams so will need to be someone that is organised, reliable, can meet deadlines and is willing to fit in with the team.
Main duties of the job
The administrative assistant role will cover areas such as buildings management, QOF and appointment maximisation, IT, safeguarding administration and audits, report running and claims returns.

We are a large, semi-rural practice that is run by three Partners and employs 35 members of staff. We have a good working atmosphere and many long standing loyal members of staff.

Job responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Administration Assistant. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
a. To record and maintain all building related compliance for CQC and health and safety requirements.
b. To provide administrative support to the safeguarding team by preparing for meetings, attending meetings and writing up notes / minutes.
c. To provide administrative support to the QOF lead to ensure appointment maximisation and timely recalls.
d. To provide IT support to the Practice, including the setting up of new software, maintaining licences and providing day to day troubleshooting.
e. To produce quarterly returns for enhanced services, PCN reporting bundles.
f. To produce and manage audits for the practice within clinical and non-clinical domains.
g. To carry out patient surveys as required, and reporting on national surveys and the outcomes of these.
h. Always maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area.
i. Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested

Qualifications
- Experience of working with the general public

- SystmOne/Accurx/Abtrace user skills
Experience
- Experience of working within a healthcare setting / primary care would be beneficial.
